CL-5000GE is a Gigabit Ethernet transceiver. It can convert signals between RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet connections and singlemode fibre optic, or between multimode Gigabit Ethernet connections and singlemode fibre optic. Also it can act as a singlemode repeater. The CL-5000GE has easy-to-read diagnostic LED's signals for continuous status reports on network speed, duplex media access control connection, and network traffic. The bi-directional transmission is done by over one strand of the fibre. It uses standard SC or SC/APC fibre connector. CL-5000GE expands network data transmission distances beyond the 2km limitation of multimode optical fiber to a maximum of 110km by transmitting over singlemode fibreoptic cable in full duplex mode.
